I wish that when I was starting out I had realised the huge value of these deceptively simple tips. But back then I didn't foresee that spreading myself over multiple projects instead of concentrating on just one to completion, would cause me to not complete anything for a frustratingly long time! Brilliant, and thanks for sharing it with us. If you have any more tips shared online please let us know by commenting on this thread - I have subscribed to comments via email just in case.

Re: 5 Tips All Newbie Internet Marketers Must Know

I really like # 3.
I know many people try and follow the exact footsteps of someone they admire but, you are not them. You must add your own personality into what you do.
You can take what they do and put yourself in it. If it does not work out and you are not getting results then switch it up!Everyone has different strengths.
Trial and error will allow you to see where your weak points are so, you can work on them.

Sheryl Lochs last blog post..Signature Line Marketing Help PHP

Re: 5 Tips All Newbie Internet Marketers Must Know

Yes I have fallen into this trap as well. I will say this, DON'T buy anything because its the latest buzz product. If you're just starting out don't even consider a high priced coaching course. I have bought all sorts of products some good, the majority are rehashed crap

The best advice I can give is do your research, only buy a product because you want to learn about that particular area for example if you want to know more about SEO you buy a SEO product, don't buy it because every big name marketer is saying you need to get it, go at your own pace under your own terms.

Thanks
Pete Moore

Pete Moore's last blog post..Free Keyword Research Tool If You Haven’t Got A Pot To Piss In

Re: 5 Tips All Newbie Internet Marketers Must Know

I have to stop myself from starting new projects all the time. Most peopl fail online becuase they do not stick to the work on hand and become butterflies and fly form project to project and not finishing any goals. Actually finishing set income income goals per poject and hen moving onto the next poject constantly has made a very big difference in my income and has allowed me to earn the kind of money I always dreamed of. So set goals - finish that project- rinse and repeat.

Re: 5 Tips All Newbie Internet Marketers Must Know

Any specific programs/guides that have worked for you, or are you just a do-it-yourself kind of guy who didn't buy anything?

Max Miroff's last blog post..A Blog That Doesn’t Suck: Mixed Market Arts

Re: 5 Tips All Newbie Internet Marketers Must Know

I like the final tip about keeping with one thing and doing that one thing well.
I have overextended myself in the past and had to back down some.
AL

DIY Lawn Tips's last blog post..Short Answers to Readers’ Lawn and Landscape Questions

Re: 5 Tips All Newbie Internet Marketers Must Know

Hey Everyone,

Thanks for the kind comments and thanks to the peeps at johncow for publishing my post.

Thanks
Pete Moore

Pete Moore's last blog post..Free Keyword Research Tool If You Haven’t Got A Pot To Piss In

Re: 5 Tips All Newbie Internet Marketers Must Know

4. I've tried juggling several projects at the same time, but never fully concentrated my effort towards developing just one project. When you try to juggle 5 start-up projects at the same time, it's hard to stay organized and manage time. Prioritize your ideas, pick your favorite idea, and put all of your effort towards finishing that project before moving on. I've learned from my mistakes and have currently been focusing on one project (mainly my blog).
