Great Idea! Perhaps it will eliminate the need for people to use keywords instead of their name in their comments.

I really like the idea of this new plugin. Although I tried posting a comment several days ago, and got a big script error message screen, im going to give it another shot.

This is really interesting! I'm really curious to see how this plug in would be different than the CommentLuv plugin. I really hope that this plugin will work with my blog 'coz for some reason CommentLuv does not, no matter how many times I've tried to tweak it around :(

People have always used anchor text they want in the "Name" field for links from blog comments anyways.

Slick idea...I thought of the same thing awhile back...well sort of a combo between this and the social plugin...where commentators would fill in their social profile usernames and then an icon will display with a link...problem was, I wanted a way for it to add it to the cookie so it didn't have to be re-typed all the time...
Creating an account is something I never though of, plus I didn't have a reliable programmer...or enough of a desire to follow thru with it :)

Looks like a great new plugin, but aren't you concerned Google will penalize your site John? I mean commentluv is one thing but actually allowing comentators to receive anchor links seems like you're entering a pretty "gray" area.

I can see why you would want this for contests. Also, the fact that you can enter your own keywords is cool.

So I'm guessing the blog post URL is the one that would show where a mention of the contest was or is the one you want mentioned such as the most recent post that CommentLuv would pull.

I still think CommentLuv is great because of its simplicity.
