    Nice One Mr Moo

Lets see some pics of your new toy then
  • Ritu · 2 years ago
Yeah can we see the pictures? I have been wanting a Mac for a while but for their prices might have to wait a little, lucky you
  • Money Blue Book · 2 years ago
That is actually pretty serious, despite your feeling that it was not a big deal. If I were you I'd write a letter to Apple Customer Service to inform them of this bait and switch. Perhaps you'll get something free out of it. I personally don't stand for this type of occurrence.
  • 2xKnight · 2 years ago
I don't think this is a bait and switch. He got what he went in for. Plus he got a discount. How is that a bait and switch?
  • Israel · 2 years ago
moron, you shoulda stopped being lazy and left with it the first time.
  • Tom · 2 years ago
    who is we?
  • Mubin · 2 years ago
You really could have gotten away with more than just a $100 bux, I can haggle more with my Business Manager at Pc World, and they tried to screw you over. You should have taken pics told them this will be on digg, and emailed to Steve Job's and than you should have told them you are John Cow, and seen them sweat. You could have walked away with at least a $500 discount.
  • Laura Martin · 2 years ago
McDonalds??? Gross Cow. You should take that hundred bucks and go somewhere a bit nicer ;)
Congrats on your purchase, I need one too..
  • Paul Hartrick · 2 years ago
Dude, well done on the Mac purchase. I have recently added a Macbook Black to the fold and it totally rocks. I also run WindowsXP PRo through Parallels on it(for compatability with work), so cool....... hmmm.. macca's for lunch, now that is a good Idea!

Lol, that must of have been awkward. Good story Cow, 5 stars, made me laugh.
  • GeologyJoe · 2 years ago
That act shows an extremely poor set of morals on their part. I would never have taken that as lightly as you seem to have.
  • Kenneth@Bloggers-Journey.com · 2 years ago
Big Mac dum in milk and eat... should be good
  • Mr. Rajawang · 2 years ago
yeah I agree with geologyjoe, I would never buy from them ever..demo set are never the same as new out of the box feeling.. :)
  • Courtney TURTLE · 2 years ago
Money Blue Book beat me to it, but that is a terrible bait and switch. I as well would not have stood for it. Something about demo models, you don't know which snotty 6 year old has mucked up the keyboard and poked at the screen and turned up the volume too loud and stuck something gooey in the ports and...

Also you really should have gone for Wendy's! Do square patties come from square cows?
  • Contest Beat · 2 years ago
    Haha, cheeky sods!
  • James Wilcox · 2 years ago
there's a reason these people make minimum wage...but anyway I hope you are happy with the new machine.

Off topic: 91 pages have been sold on the MEW...when's the next ipod drawing?
  • Mr. Rajawang · 2 years ago
the ipod drawing? who won the second draw? I know the first one is Chow..
  • Making The Money · 2 years ago
You can normally get 25%-35% off for an ex display item. You were had.
  • One Buck Wiki · 2 years ago
Wow, that's horrible. One time that happened to me too. Those people working at the store should be ashamed! Well, I will not say further other than that they are the "lowest" of all..
  • Steven · 2 years ago
I use to work in a customer service environment, one that has high demands in customer service, and anyone who has ever worked in a customer service setting, typically will have some kind of higher demand of the level of service they receive elsewhere (generally speaking).

If I was in that situation, I would argue that I paid for the unit that was in that box, that THEY sold that unit to me, and now they're trying to rip me off. I don't care if it was a mistake or not, the fact is they already sold it to me, and trying to swap it out and opening the box is theft. Even worst, trying to pull a fast one. Of course if you're nice enough, you'll let them slide. I would obviously be pissed, even more so at the fact that I didn't personally get to unwrap the present myself (aka be the first to open it or be the only one opening it for that matter).

There really is no way to rectify such a situation like that unless they ordered a new iMac extreme and replace that in my opinion. Others may be nicer and accept something less or even go with the original iMac (now removed from the box) or do what the Cow did and take the discount, but personally I think they deserve what they get for being dirty. If they had been honest and told me they made a legitimate mistake, I would have been understanding. But since they wanted to be dicks, I'd gladly take it the whole nine yards to get the unit I paid for.
  • John Cow · 2 years ago
Guess we're not cow enough to bother them people in the store any further. We went in for an iMac and we went home with an iMac. For a bit less than we were expecting too.

Sometimes you just have to be happy with the little breaks you get in life. Going out of our way to get more discount, that souped up iMac or something else could and eventually would turn around and bite us in the ass. Its called karma.
  • Kenneth@Bloggers-Journey.com · 2 years ago
Can I have 5 Mac Karma please..
  • Chris Jacobson · 2 years ago
This post has me craving Wendy's... not McDonald's.
  • John Cow · 2 years ago
We don't have Wendy's in Europe.
  • CVOS man · 2 years ago
Since McDonald’s was around the corner, and we really didn’t want to waste a whole hour eating

Um that would make you guys cannibals...
  • James · 2 years ago
You are lame. Maybe it's because after eating people are more satisfied with everything, and you wanted to get home.
