Good riddens. I have people like that on my forum. At first you don't want to turn anyone away but people like that keep good people from participating with a fear of backlash. If it was just for backlinks I"m sure he's trolling some other blog right now!

I've noticed Israel's posts on a few of the top name blogs, didnt realise he was stirring the pot so much.

Can understand your frustration Cow, but the post brings more attention to Israel and his site - something I think he was trying to achieve in the first place!! (Unless this was an evil plan between you two to drum up some press both ways?) :)

Dealing with an "unpleasant" comments is really quite hard. On one side you would love to be tolerant and not take someones freedom to speak away and just let them scream they BS out loud and ignore them. But at times that is really superhard and swift action needs to be taken. I think you have decided well.

@Cow - Won't other bloggers be blocked if they use the same IP address? I am talking from a point where I was using internet cards which gives me a shared IP with many others.
